Led by Rudy Raab, Head of Coach Education at BFV, this course follows a modern blended-learning format across three structured phases, combining online flexibility with intensive in-person training in Berlin, Germany.

Course Structure
Begin with a digital learning phase that includes theoretical modules and practical coaching assignments carried out through your home club. This phase sets the foundation for the advanced instruction that follows.
Travel to Germany for intensive, in-person training sessions at the BFV Sports Complex in Berlin-Wannsee. This two-week residency includes 16 nights of housing and full meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner), allowing you to fully focus on your development.

After your time in Berlin, you’ll continue developing your skills through practical tasks, game analysis, and ongoing coursework within your home club environment — bridging your new knowledge directly into real-world coaching.

What is the cost of the course/license?
The cost is $5,800 plus the cost of airfare.

Are there any prerequisites for the license?
- Minimum age: 16
- Active coaching role in a team
- Valid UEFA C License
- Participation in a digital introductory interview
I don't live in the US or Canada, am I eligible?
Eligibility depends on your country of citizenship. Germany requires citizens of some countries to obtain a visa while others are not required. We recommend you contact your country’s embassy to discuss visa options before applying.
Why is there an application fee?
The UEFA B License application process includes a interviews to ensure each candidate is ready for the course and meets eligibility requirements. The $15 application fee helps us dedicate proper time and attention to reviewing each application and conducting thorough interviews with serious candidates. This small fee ensures we can maintain the quality and selectivity of our program while respecting both your time and ours.
Is the application fee refundable?
The $15 application fee is non-refundable as it covers the administrative costs of processing your application and scheduling your interview with our head instructor. However, if you’re accepted into the program, this fee demonstrates your commitment to the process and helps us identify candidates who are serious about earning their UEFA B License.

Rudy brings a rare combination of professional playing and elite-level coaching experience to every class:
Began his career as a standout Bundesliga youth coach at 1. FC Union Berlin and later coached senior teams at SV Lichtenberg 47 in Germany’s Regionalliga
Served as Verbandssportlehrer (Director of Youth Talent Development) at the Berlin Football Association, managing elite female and male talent pools under DFB standards
Coached at youth academies and international projects, and remains active in German coaching education and scouting
